Welcome to my website...I'm so grateful you made your way here! I am a newborn and family photographer based out of Birmingham, Alabama.

My husband and I are both Birmingham natives, and we have two children, ages 4 and 21 months - the two halves of my heart!

Experiencing motherhood has been a natural segue to photographing families and little ones, and as a mama myself, my strengths are entertaining and bringing out the unique personalities of babies, toddlers and small children in front of my camera.

I'm already doing this at home, so why not bring this skill to work with me? My goal for each session is for all family members to leave feeling as if they just met a friend for a playdate.

+ Weekends at Lake Martin with my family (especially during football season)
+ Snuggles with my fur-baby, Gus, a very high maintenance King Charles Cavalier
+ Endless baskets of chips & queso, served with a cold margarita on the rocks and a side of good company/conversation
+ True crime TV shows & documentaries, and anything on HGTV
+ Exploring new restaurants and shops around Birmingham, my hometown
+ Clean sheets, a heating pad on my feet, a cup of hot tea and a good mystery book
+ A yummy-smelling candle (my husband would say I have way too many)

Becoming a photographer was never part of my life plan, but sometimes God throws a curveball or two!

After several years and career changes (human resources, marketing/public relations and real estate, to be exact), my husband and I discovered we were expecting, and I knew I would have to eventually find a job that was more flexible - and one that I loved enough to be away from this baby boy.

Our son was born in late 2018, a little over a year before COVID hit, when photography finally fell into my lap. I passed the time during the shutdown learning how to shoot in manual and started offering front porch photo sessions, which proved to be a hit in my neighborhood.

While experiencing my first taste of motherhood, I also discovered how much I adored working with these sweet families, and what started as a way to pass the time snowballed into a new career. As much as I enjoyed all the jobs that led to this one, none had the flexibility or special spark that I was looking for. But most importantly, none were as remotely rewarding.

There is nothing better than capturing the magic of childhood, the bond of a family or a newborn baby, fresh from heaven. If you were to ask me if I've hit the jackpot, I'll tell you "yes" - every single time.
