5. Do you offer mini sessions?

I offer mini sessions seasonally only, usually two times a year. These 15-minute sessions take place back-to-back in a pre-determined location and are perfect for capturing just a quick handful of images. Sign up for my email list so you don't miss out on mini session announcements. I only offer a limited number, so don't miss out! 

6. How can I best prepare my toddler for our session?

I absolutely love working with children. They are playful, intuitive and so natural when it comes to photos. I typically recommend parents feed their children before showing up to their session. Additionally, I suggest bringing a motivational snack or treat to keep them in the game. A little bribery goes a long way! :) Lastly, schedule your session for a time when your child is happiest. Before or after a nap or feeding, whichever works best, is usually a good time.

7. Why don't you offer shorter sessions?

Children cooperate best under as little pressure as possible. Time restraints can be stressful, both for a frustrated child and a time-crunched parent who is desperately trying to get his or her child to do as they're told. I enjoy taking my time, getting to know each family and using each precious moment to bring out those little personalities in my images. Most often, it involves play, silliness and laughter, and my top priority is making time for just that. We may not utilize the full hour, but knowing we have the time takes the pressure to "perform" off of everyone.

1. How would you define BBP's artistic/photographic style?

There are so many styles of photography that I love and appreciate, but personally, I deliver clean, bright and classic images that stand the test of time. I strive for a good balance of color and light in each session.

2. How far in advance should I book my newborn session?

Expecting mothers should reach out sometime in the second trimester to book a newborn session. I tend to book up anywhere from 3-4 months in advance, so please don't wait! Of course, I welcome any and all inquiries, no matter how last-minute they may be. Occasionally, I'll have last-minute availability, though it can't be guaranteed. 

3. What should I wear for my newborn or family session? 

I'm so glad you asked! :) I adore helping families coordinate their wardrobe for a session, and personally, I believe it's one of the biggest factors in determining how much you love your images after all is said and done. The importance of a coordinated and clean color palette cannot be understated. Let's work together to figure out something you'll love!

4. Are pets allowed in my photos?

I am a dog person through and through, so YES! Your pets may absolutely join in the fun. I only ask that, after we're done with their photos, they be leashed or contained (especially if working indoors for a newborn session).
